Position Summary

The Junior Graphic Design is responsible for remotely supporting the Creative Director on print, digital, and animation projects. All collateral will utilize Adobe programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects) and web projects will be completed on the Wix.com platform with the possibility of Wordpress and Shopify templates.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

  • Using creativity and strategic thinking, assist in the design and creation of print and digital materials including, but not limited to, infographics, white papers, reports, social media graphics, event collateral, logos, brand guidelines, PowerPoint presentations, and website layouts. 

  • Light retouching and image editing.

  • Adhere to brand guidelines and creative briefs.

  • Work independently from home and complete projects by agreed upon deadlines.

  • Work directly with the Creative Director to gather proper inputs to determine visual expression.

  • Be available to participate in creative brainstorming sessions when needed.

  • Work efficiently with a self-starter attitude in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Be available to connect during regular business hours (9a-5p EST) for task kick-offs and check-ins, as needed.

  • Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Must provide a web link or .pdf of your current portfolio.

  • Strong creative, strategy, and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • A team player with a can-do attitude.

  • High sense of urgency and able to work within short deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects, and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint software.

  • Knowledge of the Wix.com platform. Knowledge of Wordpress and Shopify platforms are a plus.

  • Strong time management skills in order to multitask and prioritize multiple projects.

  • Capable of understanding and maintaining the highest level of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion in all client-related matters. 

  • Understanding of a business-focus social media strategy. 

  • Confidently answer creative questions and provide input to internal team members.

  • Self-starter: being able to think for yourself and take action when necessary. 

  • Submission of weekly timesheets detailing hours worked per task.

  • Personal computer is required.

Huck Yeah Full-time Benefits

After your 3-month contractor period, Huck Yeah will offer the following benefits for the Junior Designer position:

  • $500 per year for continuing education
