PROJECT
Event Design
To thank her team and clients for all the hard work they put in throughout the year, Meara began putting together her company's first annual Winter Solstice party.
She wanted the event to be spirited and professional, and incorporate the solstice tradition of "letting go."
RESEARCH
Because the winter solstice marks the shortest day of the year, the idea of time passing lead to an exploration of sundials. The circular calendar used by the Mayan Indians also proved to be great inspiration in how a lot of information can be elegantly displayed.
VISUAL ID
With a brand identity in place, Candor’s blue and orange color scheme was already perfectly suited for this project.
The flame was included to celebrate the return of light, and to tie into the communal and self-led release rituals that would be performed during the event.
